At Richard Harding Ltd, we are proud to be supporting the Honicknowle Community Gardens project in Plymouth. This is a fantastic local initiative, created by residents in Honicknowle to transform an unused space into a welcoming community garden for public use.

The project was started by local people aiming to create a peaceful green space for the wider community, with plans for meditation and sensory spaces for people of all ages. These plans have now been brought to life entirely through the hard work of volunteers and donations of resources and materials by local businesses.

A variety of businesses across Plymouth have contributed to the project, including Tesco at Transit Way, which donated plants to help bring the gardens to life.

At Richard Harding, we were also keen to play our part in such a positive community initiative. As a result, we donated a range of timber to be used across the gardens in a number of ways, including for the construction of planters and pergolas that will help to shape the space as the project continues to grow.

The Honicknowle Community Gardens are now ready for their grand opening on the 10th May. This will mark an important milestone for everyone involved and will be a great chance for local residents and volunteers to come together and enjoy the new green space in their community.

Supporting local causes and community projects is something that is really important to us as a business and forms a core part of our company values. We’re really proud to have supported this initiative, which we are certain will make a genuine difference to people in the local community.
